Michael is an entity composed of 1050 individual essences who lived on Earth and now teach from the Causal Plane. The entity calls itself Michael because the last essence in the group was named Michael in his last lifetime”. ~ Michael Entity
“Michael communicates with us through an age-old process known as channeling. In channeling, an individual allows a discarnate being to speak through him or her.” ~ Shepherd Hoodwin, Michael channel.
The Michael Teachings are the channeled words and information offered from Michael, first popularized in Chelsea Quinn Yarbro’s book, Messages from Michael, and greatly expanded on over the succeeding years through other Michael channels. The Michael Teachings tell us that we are all spiritual beings originating from TAO and journeying together from TAO, exploring the different planes of existence, and eventually returning to TAO. Here on the Physical Plane, we take on physical bodies to explore different experiences available only on the Physical plane. Fueled by the choices we make in each of our many lifetimes or incarnations we evolve spiritually on the way back to TAO. These teachings are imminently practical in our daily lives, providing us with a useful set of tools to help us understand who we are, why we are here and where we are going.
No. The Michael Teachings are not a religion, they are a self-validating philosophy with no dogma, gospel, or ritual. They do not tell us what to do, what to believe, nor how to act. Michael is a teacher. They have already travelled the Physical Plane and offer us the insight they have gained on the journey. They remind us that we are here ‘to learn how to choose and to choose how to learn’. Their teachings are available to all who are interested through several different channels, and every student is encouraged to validate the truth of these teachings for themselves.
The East Coast Michael Student Gathering (ECMG) is a coming together of Michael students from across the United States and from various countries around the world to share with each other our expertise, our experiences, our talents, and our knowledge. Through a series of workshops, discussions, presentations, channelings and various creative or outdoor activities we explore the Michael teachings and their relevance in our lives.
The ECMG is created by Michael students for Michael students and involves Michael students as both participants and teachers. The highlight of every Gathering, whether in person at our beautiful east coast US Gathering location or over the internet on ZOOM, is the opportunity to connect with each other on a deeper level and to experience an amazing sense of recognition and essence contact. The ECMG is for many of us a wonderful spiritual family reunion.
The in-person gathering will be held at Massanetta Springs Conference Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
712 Massanetta Springs Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22801

FLYING IN?
If coming by air the nearest airport is Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (SHD)which is about a 20-minute drive from Massanetta Springs. SHD offers car rentals and a shuttle service. However, there are only two flights arriving and departing daily via Charlotte, NC, and those flights cost more than flights into Charlottesville and Dulles.
The Charlottesville airport (CHO) is a 60-minute drive from Massanetta. CHO has car rentals.
Due to the change of venue, we will no longer be able to offer airport pick-ups and drop-offs.
Other airport options are:
Dulles International Airport: approximately 2 hours away.
***Bus service is available to Harrisonburg from Dulles and Union Station (Amtrak) via Virginia Breeze. Home Page – The Virginia Breeze : The Virginia Breeze.
This is an excellent option for getting to and from Harrisonburg from the DC area.
Reagan National Airport: about 2 hours away.

Yes. Our main lodging and meeting building, Hubler Lodge, is fully wheelchair accessible. The two story building has an elevator.
There is a paved pathway going down to the Old Hotel that houses the dining hall and lounge areas but it might be best to drive since to return you need to go uphill. There is plenty of parking by Hubler and the Old Hotel. The Old Hotel has a ramp leading up to the dining hall/lounge.
Yes, parking is free. There are various parking spaces near Hubler Lodge. We can park in front to unload but need to move our vehicles after unloading. There is plenty of parking near the Old Hotel and some handicapped spots available as well.

Harrisonburg, VA Weather Conditions | Weather Underground (wunderground.com)
For inside: Some people run cold and others hot. Plan for your comfort. If you run cold pack socks and a sweater or shawl. If you run hot, the same thing in reverse! It’s hard to adjust the air conditioning or heat to suit everyone’s comfort level.
Since we will be staying and meeting in the same building you may want to bring slippers.
For Outside: There is a paved path to and from the dining room. Bring shoes for damp weather in case it rains. There are also hiking trails around the property so if you like to hike bring appropriate shoes.
Yes, if convenient bring both. The path to and from the dining hall is lit but after dark a flashlight may be a good thing. If it is raining you will need an umbrella, windbreaker or rain parka.
WIFI is available in all buildings. Cell coverage also seems to be good.
Yes. Along with a credit card bring some cash and your checkbook. If you want to purchase something at the Massanetta giftshop or from one of our Vendors you may need to pay with cash or a check.
